Inside the book, I made a little pocket to cover up some raw edges. (See my pocket tutorial) On this pocket, I stamped some images using a masking technique.
If you missed the first time I made a book like this, check out my original series:
- Created the covers (for this book, I used thinner bookboard)
- Added the floating element to the cover
- Assembled the book
- Finished book
I'm wondering what else I have that can be put in a window - I think the possibilities are endless!
All materials from Club Scrap - the To You with Love Kit from February 2004.
This book is adorable...the little window is an awesome touch :)
ReplyDeleteThat floating heart is just beautiful. I love the way it's tethered with those little leather (?) straps. The whole book is a work of art. You must struggle to part with them!
ReplyDeleteI love your window book and the floating element is so cool!! You definitely inspire me to try my hand at it someday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the comments! I can't wait to try some other ideas I have for floating elements.
ReplyDeleteThe paperclip is suspended by grosgrain ribbon. I used a glue dot and a brad to fasten it to the paperclip.
